Who Does Naka-Ima?
YOU HAVE A DESIRE to be fully alive, to be joyous, to be free. You intend to be aware, perceptive, intuitive, clear, empty. You are courageous in your efforts to discover who you are beyond the apparent, aware of the possibilities which lay dormant within you. Soul-Centered Healing Arts:
SOUL-CENTERED HYPNOTHERAPY
is a shamanic style of hypnotherapy, where Maria gently guides you into your subconscious mind to complete any unfinished work that is holding you back from wholeness. Such a session may include freeing and healing frozen energy from traumas, transforming habits, phobias, or limiting behaviors, or reincorporating parts of the self that have been suppressed, such as a creative gift or inner-power. By completing this unfinished work you are bringing yourself even more into the present moment, thereby having more access to your creativity, abundance, and vitality. With committment to the healing process, you will experience profound and long-lasting changes in your life.
INTUITION MEDICINE
is a healing method that calls upon your innate personal energy systems to clear blockages, disease, emotional attachments, and imbalance. Maria uses her skills as a clairvoyant, clairaudient, and clairsentient, to "read" your subtle-energy body, and using your own energy, heal and seal any places where you are losing life-force.
An Intuition Medicine session may include aura and chakra balancing,
updating contracts, past-life integration, and meeting and working with spiritual guides. Intuition Medicine sessions also include instruction on how to develop your intuition and maintain the health of your energy body.

Maria has been involved in the healing arts for over 14 years, beginning her journey at 19 with a five year apprenticeship with a Lakota shaman from South Dakota. Maria received her BA from New College of California, Santa Rosa, in 2001, with an emphasis on Sustainable Community through group process.
Prior to New College, Maria received certificates from the California School of Herbal Studies as a Certified Herbalist, and two Permaculture Design certificates through Occidental Arts and Ecology Center and Lost Valley Educational Center. She is a certified Master of Intuition Medicine through the Academy of Intuition Medicine in Sausalito, CA, where she studied for two and a half years. Maria received her certification in Hypnotherapy through the Alchemy Institute of Hypnotherapy in Santa Rosa.
Her development as a teacher and healer has been most greatly influenced by her training in Naka-Ima over the past 8 years, which she continues to deepen her commitment to as she works with her mentors Deborah Riverbend and Jaime Campbell. With Deborah, Maria co-teaches about three Naka-Ima Self-Awareness Intensives a year.
In 2003 Maria created her private healing practice Soul-Centered Healing Arts in order to offer the wisdom and skill she had acquired through her trainings and life experiences.
Currently Maria is working towards her MFT licensure at the California Institute of Integral Studies, while she joyfully continues to hold the positions of Assistant Program Coordinator and Concentration Faculty for the concentration in Consciousness, Healing, and Ecology at New College of California: www.newcollege.edu/northbay/che.
