Update to post Sometimes we actually are heard

A few days ago I posted a note on a letter that my wife and I sent the inauguration committee. The letter is in the post below. We now find out the my letter is being presented to congress by Diane Feinstein to make it a federal crime to scalp tickets to the inauguration parade and ceremony. I am writing this not just because I am proud of it, that is a part of it, but at my amazement that something happened. It is easy to get cynical that nothing we do has any effect. It is gratifying and encouraging to see something happen. I really did not expect my letter to have effect and certainly not this fast or as much. Now, if only I could write a letter to change ________. You fill in the blank.

I have to tell you about this, as it amazed me and I am kind of proud of it. My wife and I made plans to attend to inauguration. We planned early. We found a place and checked on what it takes to see the parade and the inauguration. We were really happy Obama won. Now we were doing what we are supposed to do to get our tickets or at least have a chance of getting tickets to these events. What we find is the inaugural events are a huge ticket scalping thing. Tickets that are given away for free, were being advance sold for up to $20,000.

Questioning Enlightement and Those Claiming to Be Enlightened

A I was about to include this in some replies to my great blog friends here. I have many ideas about "Those that would be the enlightened ones" There is a Rudyard Kipling story "The Man That Would Be King". Great story. Those that would be the enlightened ones may be this as this is one of modern myths. As cultures have had prophecies of a white god showing up at some paricular time and seen as the fulfillment of the prophecy (I can't think of one example where this ended well for the population the white god came to), we may very well be looking for our enlightened beings to showup.

Everything speaks to me. In my world consciousness is everywhere conversing. Yes, I have voices in my head and images and analogies and stories. Sometimes they insist on being written down. When I was very young I had the idea that what I called at that time my subconscious was talking with me, the physical consciousness. The problem was, it was rarely in English.

I have always worked hard. I always (had) complained about it, too. I have made very good money and it seems that I feel I have to support everyone and I don't get a break. I have worked, I have complained.

Money is a peculiar issue in the transformation community. There are countless abundance courses. In some courses we want to visualize. In some we want to attract. In some we want to give it away as it is somehow bad. It is really a hot issue. It seems, and I am very open to disagreement with this observation, that there is often not enough. I know that some IONS groups have problems with people not showing up because they will not or cannot contribute the 2 dollars they are being asked to contribute. Is it just me, or is there something wrong with this picture?

The Elusive Enlightenment

It seems the term enlightenment is coming up everywhere and from everyone. There is always the path to enlightenment. Enlightenment is a very common word in the Shift In Action blogs.

In the West more and more I see people that have never considered the concept of enlightenment using the word. It has entered our language. It is not that it was not here before, but I don't believe in the 1960's I would have heard the word enlightened used while at the hardware store. For example, you would not have heard "Bill, an enlightened person would most likely choose the new recycled products to build a deck."

A Look at Questions and Some Ways We Limit Ourselves

I was thinking today about how maybe, some things that are right in front of us, may not be visible due to the questions we are asking and how we respond to what we see. Here is an example of taking an event we are familiar with and seeing how it would be if handled differently. It might seem silly, but it may be close to how many things are handled.

I posted a copy of an email I received from Michael Milner. He is in India at the opening and consecration of the Oneness University. Most of us in the West have either not heard of this or have only heard of it in passing. First, some information on Michael as I am adding an email I just received from him and it would help if there was a little information on who he is and what he is about. I know Michael and he and his wife Suzanne are extraordinary people.

This week I have been watching the DVD I received and reading some in the books I ordered on the brain and neuroplasticity. The idea of the brain changing is not new to me. I was exploring this in the 1980's when I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area. At that time I did not think the brain could not change, I just accepted it could and does.

Today, I found out I am on youtube. I did not know this. I guess we are becoming even more visible. In 1999, I had met a Chinese Qi Gong Master. He wanted me to help him bring his message to the US. He would explain and transmit Qi Qong to me, so that I could then bring his work to the west. He did not speak English and so the verbal part was thru a translator. I wrote and narrated a film on Shen Wu and Qigong for him. I have not seen him in years, but I am happy that my work is helping him and the world. From what I see he is doing very well in Hawaii.

Oneness University - 1.5 Million People Attending This Week

The Oneness Deeksha Blessing was one of those things I heard about. I have a rule that if something comes up in my reality from 3 or more sources that I cannot relate, consciousness is trying to tell me something. I then turn some attention to it. I had this experience with the Oneness Blessing in July, 2007. I have since found this to be evolutionary for me and for many others.

In other posts, I have talked about how things come to us how we need to hear them. One of the ways consciousness speaks to me is thru my TV set. Almost magically I will have been asking about something and for some reason I find myself watching a show. It might be a show I watch often or one I have never watched. Now, I see everything as not being what they might immediately appear.
