My Intentions and Goals
A few years ago I had a life changing experience. I had been sailing along on top of the world I thought. I had just come back from a professional conference and my partner and I were out for a night on the town. Suddenly I fell and had neither the strength nor the cognition to get myself up. With assistance we got home but I was gradually loosing control of my right side. Tests showed lesions in my brain. The first thought was metastasized cancer but nothing could be found to confirm it. Being wheelchair bound and unable to function was really boring and daytime television was not my cup of tea so my partner took me to a book store where I found a copy of “What the Bleep”. My mental capacity was still sharp and I savored the concepts presented there. I had had some interest in science and philosophy but no time to pursue it. Now I did.
I am not the type to wallow in self-pity and I have always been intellectually curious so I set a course to understand the precepts of the book. That has lead to extensive reading and deep introspection. I think it has also contributed greatly to healing as I now have regained some physical capability although that is touch and go particularly when I try to push myself too hard.
I have been to places that I never would have dreamed of but the journey is proving to be the highlight of my life aside from my wonderful family. The past few months I have experienced several breakthroughs and singularities that have brought me here to Shift in action and IONS. I can already see the lotus opening and I am excited to continue in company with you as I continue.
