Somthing that resonates

I have just been introduced to Greg Braden. I was introduced to his work through a friend in Arizona who shares our enthusiasm about the shift but is not a member of our forum. I wish she were because she would add much to our discussions. Anyway I was happy to find that he (Greg Braden) is listed among the IONS luminaries. The teleseminar in our archives is a must here if you are not familiar. I think he is unusually clear in his depiction of what is happening now and its implications. He artfully speaks of bringing together science and spirituality. He resonates with me and I'd like to hear your take on his message.

Imagine

In the early hours this morning I had a mental image of myself as a vast network of tiny threads interconnected in a sort of mesh pattern. Beside me there were others constructed the same way and connected to me through the surface of the earth also a mesh. As I contemplated this I could see other animals and plants in the same form and connected to the earth in the same manner. Panning out it was apparent that everything was part of one gigantic organism alive with energy and sharing the same blood. I realized that this is what my world view is becoming.

Global mind and our shift

Jeffery’s question caused me to do a blitz study which lead me to some fascinating material on global mind, or as I like to think of it “collective conciousness”. I have accepted the idea that collective conciousness exists but I lack the information to back it up scientificly. On the Global Oneness Project there are some interesting short videos featuring Dean Radin that discuss The Global Conciousness Project and the mounting evedence of the existance of a global mind.

You may never know what a difference you make

I am deeply touched by your responses to my two recent blogs. Yesterday I felt lost and confused but thanks to all of you I know that I am not alone. Although we may not agree on every point that is not important, what is important is that we share our insights and even our dark moments for the benefit of the whole. I would be all morning thanking you all personally so I’m doing it this way. I hope this kind of dialogue continues and I hope our silent friends will know that if you jump in the water’s fine. You will be welcomed and your insights will be important links to our collective understandings.

Please share what shift means

Today I made a dismal attempt to say that I don't really know what the shift looks like, how it is defined and how we will get there. I am interested to know your insights because within myself I can see nothing concrete.

Are we really making a shift?

I am convinced that in order to truly go beyond this point of stalemate where we know that no change will lead to extinction we have to do some housecleaning in our own minds. This is nothing we can hire someone to do for us because what would be left is a shiny new version of what we had before. This housecleaning involves throwing out all of our assumptions about how the world works and we need to do that because we can not know how clouded our perceptions are without being able to look at the world from total innocence.

To all those who would like to add their power to our group meditations and prayer for those who would rather take that approach, please indicate your desires so we can all be focused on the same issues/topics. We want to get this going successfully.

Shift in action Meditation

Dear fellow Shift in action members,
Some of us think it would be a benefit to our shift if we start our own meditation group. The idea is in its infancy but we would like to know who would be interested.

My Lifesaver

Many people have tried meditation and become frustrated. There are many people who think they have to maintain a perfect posture, be able to clear the mind of every thought,
be in a perfectly silent space and practice for hours a day. There are so many misunderstanding about meditation that it is a wonder that anybody besides a monk or ascetic practices successfully. I was one of those people who was frustrated until I came upon a book by Yongey Mingyur Rinpochey called “The Joy of Living”, Unlocking the Secret & Science of Happiness.

A moment of clerity

The other day I was on the phone with a friend who lives on the big island of Hawaii. We frequently talk about spiritual topics and this day we were talking about the meanings of dreams. These conversations usually take place from my office as its usually late morning in Seattle, where I live, when we talk. I had been reading “Buddha Mind, Buddha Body” by Thich Nhat Hanh and was there was an undercurrent of thought running in my mind as we talked. He had been expressing how we don’t necessarily grasp reality because we tend to rely on perception which can cause us to be susceptible to delusion.

A poem that I wrote seems to have more significance now

The Waters

Soft, gentle rain gathering into murky pools
Now flowing together as a happy brook
Laughing, jumping as it trickles down
Giving life to all it touches.

Brook meets brook, together one inseparable

Thank you for the warm welcome

Dear Thomas,

I took a long hard look at your selfprocess blog. I have used some of the ideas presented in a very crude form in difficult parts of my life and I know that they are valid so I'm going to use revisit your blogspot right after I finish this post and get started with your more refined process. Isn't it unfortunate that we often get distracted from what we once knew as we go through life?
