Angeles Arrien on the Intention Download Series

Anthropologist, educator and author, Angeles Arrien offers insights into her views on intention. At age 33 she set a conscious intention through prayer and affirmation to do work that had heart and fire and meaning. She has lived that intention for almost 40 years now, surprised sometimes at the synchronicity that has led her to do the work she loves. Angeles shares the Inuit people’s philosophy that there are two plans in life: “My plan and Mystery’s plan.” She discusses the relationship between effort and grace and advises us to find a balance between the two. Angeles has been an advocate of inspiration, hopefulness and empowerment of the human spirit. She encourages us to flourish by making a contribution in alignment with our gifts and talents, be open to grace through trust, set intentions, and take action for the highest good. Intention is a powerful force which can be used for egoic purposes or higher purposes, it’s just a choice away.
