Internationally recognized spiritual teacher, writer and former co-director of Findhorn, David Spangler, offers an insightful perspective on intention in this discussion with IONS President, James O’Dea. David provides an analogy of intention as a river with many tributaries. The tributaries take the form of desire, visualization, focus, mental imagery or will; however, they are not as powerful as the main river. The real power of the river results from becoming aware of what gives the vectors of intention direction - the true "source" of our intention. He cautions us to pay closer attention to the world around us and to be clear about how our intentions align with our environment and others.
