In Deepak Chopra’s view, our current global crisis is an expression of our collective consciousness, which is in turn an expression of our souls. To address the environmental, economic and social justice issues of today, we need to turn our love towards positive action. It’s particularly important to deal with death – the subject of his next book – for a fearful relationship with death leads people to fear the unknown, which in turn leads them to act in less healthy ways. He urges us to weave a new story for our lives as well as to truly feel the pain in the world, which opens the door to genuine compassion. Each day, our practice can be to feel peace, be peace, and create peace, which ripples outwards, especially when joined with specific actions.
