The founder of IONS has been witness to the view of earth from space as well as the birth of the consciousness movement. In this interview, he brings his unique wisdom to bear on the essential shifts we require today, looking at the history and future of consciousness work. We need, he believes, to integrate transcendent experience into science, truly value consciousness, explore quantum holography, and revise our view of biology to include quantum effects. Even more important, though, is moving beyond our problems of ego and greed since we are running out of time to make a shift to a sustainable planet. We need see ourselves as cosmic beings who are deeply interconnected in order to begin to live in more enlightened and sustainable ways.
