Roger Nelson’s Global Consciousness Project at Princeton University has long been a thorn in the side of a purely materialist worldview. A global network of random event generators shows changes from randomness when collective attention is focused in the same direction, implying something like a global mind effect. In this interview with IONS’ Senior Scientist Dean Radin, they discuss the history of the development of this work, as well as notions such as Bohm’s implicate order, Jung’s collective unconscious, and a “Gaia mind.” They then connect these notions to the concept of intention and anomalous experimental evidence.
