Sequoyah Trueblood

The release of intention and the intellect is the message from Sequoyah Trueblood of the Choctaw Nation, in this enlightening interview with IONS’ President, James O’Dea. Sequoyah's epiphany came while imprisoned, when he shifted to acceptance, stillness and gratitude for every moment. A former teacher of Silva Mind Control, Sequoyah now believes that the "intellect is the playground in the face of darkness." The intellect can only afford us 1/100th of what we need in life. The silent setting of an intention to allow the Divine to flow through every thought word and action will guide us to be the "mystery in motion," at which point we can set aside our goals and desires.

I noticed in the conversation that when Sequoya refers to no longer using intention, Mr. O'Dea seemed dissonant with that concept (in that he believed that intention was in fact a useful tool for change in life.) I could hear him mentally adjusting to the idea. On the face there would seem to be a disconnect. How then can one intentionally heal? Or remote view? ..or many other intentional acts. The answer I was given to this question from Silo Blackcrow (mentioned above) was that the Grandfathers/Tankashila (angels/God) know what you need, therefore only pray (intend/request) for others. In this way you can help, but not for yourself (as Sequoya said, we often do not understand what we really need.) Aho!

Mitakuye Oyasin!,

Aho! I have sorely missed two dear mentors in my life, as they have passed on to the "next better world", Silo Blackcrow of the Ogalalla Lakota, and Sac Jameson of the Oklahoma Seneca. I originally sought them out to find my Cayuga heritage. It has been lonely since their passing. Now, the great mystery has led me here to stand in the beautiful light of the creator's mind shining out through the expressions of these enlightened people. I am again humbled and deeply grateful for this gift. Sachem, thank you for sharing these words. I am here in Alaska. All are welcome to share my fire. Aho! Mitakuye Oyasin. jonwatts@gci.net

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the interview. In the discussion afterward I saw the role that intellect can play which fueled my desire to practice being in peace vs. intellectual questioning. I appreciate the gift of this opportunity to further my clarity.
