Van Jones on the Ruling Elite, a Failing Paradigm, and a Change of Heart

It's not hard to imagine the scenario, presented by Van Jones, when he says fortune 500 stakeholders are paralzyed by the paradigm they've created (My paraphrase).
Surely they wish they'd known way back when, what we're having to deal with now so that better precautions against the current global ecologic and social decline, could have been taken.

Ironically, they [as the ruling class] are still trapped the mechanized methodolgy of competitively seeking solutions, as the cognitive shift necessary to their own survival will require they see themselves as cooperative entities, contributing to the fabric of their survival instead of parasitically consuming it.

This "paradigm change", in my mind at least, is what IONS' Shift In Action seeks to catalyze at the grassroots level as well as among the ruling, Fotune 500 Elite and it is the strongest indication of how the best minds, coupled with a supportive population, can bring greater self-awareness to a socially fragmenting society.

While the necessity of a paradigm shift has been acknowledged on all socio-economic levels, the ancient paradigm of market place competition hinders any effective application of "contributive life", as opposed the our self-destroying "competitive life".

Still, many more people grow hopeful, as IONS pushes the envelope of understanding human consciousness, our ability to create our place(s) in the universe and our true purpose for being aware of what we create.

Proving the evolution of human understanding, by historical evidence, only takes a short glance backwards, into the ignorance of our human ancestry.
