Luminary: Jeremy Taylor
Dr. Jeremy Taylor, a Unitarian Universalist minister, is a well-known innovator of group process in dream work, who blends the values of spirituality with an active social conscience and a Jungian perspective. He co-founded and is a past president of the International Association for the Study of Dreams. He is the author of three books:
• The Living Labyrinth: Universal Themes in Myths, Dreams and the Symbolism of Waking Life
• Where People Fly and Water Runs Uphill: Using Dreams to Tap the Wisdom of the Unconscious
• Dream Work: Techniques for Discovering the Creative Power of Dreams.
He teaches at several California Bay Area colleges, universities and seminaries and leads seminars and workshops in the US, Canada, Mexico, South American, Asia, and Europe. Each summer he spends a month teaching in South Korea. In addition to academia, Jeremy has done dream work in a wide range of venues, including churches, residential treatment centers, prisons, schools, hospice centers, retirement centers, in-service training groups, in hospitals, bookstores, on call-in radio, in artists’ groups, and in the business world.
He is also a published poet, has written a prize-winning screenplay, and has had his collage art featured in Intimate Agenda: Inside the Creative Process (1996). He lives in Fairfield, CA.
