Kenn Burrows has been an educator and consultant for over 30 years, teaching Holistic Health Studies at San Francisco State since 1991. He is founder and Director of the SFSU Holistic Health Learning Center an unusual library and activity Center staffed by student volunteers. He is also producer-director of the biennial conference: The Future of Health Care, which this year, focused on the theme of 'Social Intelligence.' For 15 years he has been teaching a popular and intriguing course: Holistic Health, Human Nature & Global Perspectives.

Prior to coming to SF State, he taught at Foothill College (Los Altos Hills, CA) for twelve years and operated Stress-Care, a corporate training and consulting company. He is completing a PhD program in interdisciplinary studies on the side.

His primary teaching and research interests include: holistic philosophy (complexity, vitality, beauty and wisdom inherent in nature/whole systems); stress and self-care skills; creativity, dialogue and collaborative problem solving; new forms of activism, nonviolence and the evolution of consciousness and culture.
