Kiril Sokoloff

Kiril Sokoloff is a successful and world-renown investment strategist. He possesses a unique perspective on the global economy, having been involved in almost every aspect of corporate finance -- from commercial and investment banking and hedge fund management to commodity and currency trading to venture capital and private equity investment. In 1980, a time when the world was petrified with fear of hyperinflation, Sokoloff authored Is Inflation Ending? Are You Ready?, which developed many of the business and investment themes of the 1980s.

After rising to the top of his profession he began a decline into near-total deafness. In his book Personal Transformation: An Executive's Experience of Grief, Loss and Renewal, Sokoloff recounts his deafness, his struggle to accept the limitations it placed on his life, and his ultimate discovery of a deeper peace. The Dalai Lama introduces his story of compassion, which has been described as a transformative experience for every reader. Sokoloff hosted the Dalai Lama at a conference for executives and religious leaders in 2005, and is the president of The Idaho Compassion Foundation.

Sokoloff's 30-year track record can be found at 13D Research, an investment research firm he founded in 1983. He also wrote or co-authored Street Smart Investing and Thinking Investors Guide to the Stock Market. In 2001, Sokoloff began to write “What I Learned This Week, an investment publication with a worldwide readership among investment and business leaders.
