Luminary: Sheila McKeithen
Dr. Sheila McKeithen defied the odds in 1986 when the doctors assured her that she had less than six (6) days to live. Twenty-two (22) years later, she has achieved her dream of becoming an attorney at law having served as an Assistant Attorney General (Florida), former local bar association president, and former director for Legal Aid of Broward County and the Florida Law Related Association.
Her spiritual path has shaped her into a clear 'mouthpiece' of the universal spiritual principles and led her to 'leave' her home country to accept a ministerial assignment in Kingston, Jamaica. Her mission is to be a vehicle for 'hope and healing' while remembering to remain humbled in surrender because a power greater than herself is doing the work. A remarkable woman for Spirit, she exudes an energy that often leads her audience into serious 'life changes', a sense of 'self-worth' and unconditional love and laughter.
Dr. McKeithen is passionate about the 'upliftment of consciousness' because she teaches that consciousness determines one's experience. "When we become better, our world becomes better for we ARE the worldview, that we experience."
She is a seven time author of the monthly publication, The Daily Inspiration (the most recent being April 2008). To promote her mission of 'hope and healing' she authors a monthly Healing and Tither's Newsletter. She has produced a compact disc (cd) with inspiring motivational messages designed to 'lift and encourage' the listener to awaken to their power to choose victory rather than victimhood. A powerful, clear, energetic and practical communicator of spiritual truths that inspires the masses to 'step up and step out' into a more healthy, happy and successful life.
Dr. McKeithen is on the faculty of two seminaries: The Johnnie Colemon Theological Seminary (Fla.) and The University of Transformational Leadership and Studies (Calif.) She has lectured, led retreats, workshops and/or provided key note addresses in the U.S.A., Bahamas, Jamaica, S. America, Trinidad and Tobago and England.
