David was born in Libya and lived there until the 6-day war in 1967 when all Jews were exiled, he was 12 years old. His family became refugees and settled in Italy, and he eventually became a psychologist. In 2002 he discovered he had an aunt who was the last Jew remaining in Libya. Qaddafi was moved by his request to see her and granted David the first visa to a Jew in 36 years. This engaging discussion explored David's visionary peace project, which aims to heal the rift between Libya and its Jewish population, his journey and inspiration for writing the book and his vision to create the harmony necessary for Jews and Arabs to co-exist.
