Emmy award-winning composer/producer Gary Malkin shares his journey with harnessing the power of music and spoken word to make a difference in the world. Gary believes the arts provide portals into soul nourishment and transformation, and he shares how he creates verbal and musical alchemy that nourishes the human spirit. Each of the pieces of spoken word were created extemporaneously in the studio, then music composed to create the aural alchemy that characterizes Gary’s work. He tells us that the spoken word, when coming from presence, can express our innate wisdom, which is deeply nourishing to the human spirit. By combining the emotional language of music (which is processed largely by the reptilian brain) with the spoken word (processed largely by the cerebral cortex), an alchemy of mind and heart occur, offering healing states of consciousness that can help cultivate greater emotional and spiritual intelligence.

Gary has utilized his artistic expression to support the work of groups such as the Pachamama Alliance. His Care for the Caregivers work has unexpectedly led him to be a speaker at many health practitioner conferences.
