Luisah Teish teleseminar on "Mother of the Deep: Rituals and Exercises for the Winter Season"
Beginning with a reading of her poem "Blue Mother Moon," Teish introduces spiritual practices from the African diaspora designed to harness the power of Winter as the season of gestation before re-birth. Winter is a time of hibernation, going inside, surrendering to that natural intelligence that knows that life is cyclical, and letting labor wait until spring. Teish then leads us through a full Winter Ritual (which is extracted as a separate file below for utility), and answers members' questions about dreams and ritual.
