Rassouli , a visionary artist, talks with host Angela Murphy about his inspirational work and process. He will often climb a mountain in the dark, usually on a Sunday before the sun rises, to watch the change from the darkness into light. This time of transformation is the essence of creativity for Rassouli. He describes the light changing from cool to warm and the pure feeling of unity he experiences. With this inspiration he goes back to his studio and starts with a black canvas. He explains the need to embrace the darkness in our lives and to eliminate fear to allow the beauty, creativity and expression of spirit to flow through us in whatever medium we choose.
