Wilford Welch teleseminar on "Tactics of Hope"
Author, former diplomat and director of global change organizations, Wilford Welch talks with host Cassandra Vieten about social entrepreneurship. They discuss his book, “Tactics of Hope” in which he shares inspirational stories of average people who took action to solve problems in the world. One person created water pumps with kid power! He installed merry-go-rounds which powered hydraulic pumps as children played and the water was stored in tanks. Another social entrepreneur provided one woman per remote village a cell phone, which basically made her the local phone company. This gave many women income and connected thousands of villages. Cassi and Wilford discuss the needed fundamental change in values and how business is done as we create a sustainable world.
