Evening Presentation | Etc/GMT+7 | Organized by

The body has a mind of its own. Its innate consciousness can be experienced and developed though aware movement. This precise, sensorimotor approach to movemement therapy develops awareness of efficient body mechanics, results in repatterning the body, affects neural pathways in the brain/body, as well as expands awareness.

In 1940, the late Moshe Feldenkrais began to teach this experiential science of bodily intergration. His legacy is simple yet effective:

The Feldenkrais Method®

The aim is a body that is organized to move with minimum effort and maximum efficiency, not through muscular strength, but increased consciousness of how it works.

---Moshe Feldekrais

The evening of Feldenkrais Method® will present basic principals and understanding of the Feldenkrais Method®. The largest portion of the evening will be devoted to experiencing an Awareness through Movement® lesson, with ample opportunity for questions/answers and discussion.

Athlete, physicist, and mechanical engineer, Moshe Feldenkrais, D.Sc.(1904-1984) began developing the Feldenkrais Method® during the 1940's in response to his own debilitating knee injury. Based on principals of sensory motor learning, the Feldenkrais Method® offers a means to move out of pain and into greater function and comfort. Presented in a non-judgemental environment, the organic learning process provides a sense of exploration and discovery. Within each "lesson" new possibilities such as freer movement, increased balance and coordination, decreased stress, and letting go of unwanted habits become accessible. With increased awareness we learn to sense our own unique and innate intelligence and can begin the process of expressing our full potential as human beings.

Feldenkrais Method® offers an opportunity to ".....make the impossible possible, the possible easy, and the easy elegant.

---Moshe Feldenkrais
