3 Day Workshop | Etc/GMT+7 | Organized by

Dr. Paul Ray has designed an exciting new brainstorming workshop that lets us work and learn together to do something unique and hopeful. It’s serious play, and playfully serious, because it’s a way to design a positive future that we want to live in.
<--break-->
One focus of this weekend will be to place our personal aspirations for higher virtues, capacity development, insights, etc. in a larger context of true transformational goals, which include creating a wisdom culture.
<--break-->
If we want a wise and sustainable way of life—what we call a wisdom culture—we’re going to have to create it ourselves, with the aid of some big trends that support our efforts at making the emerging wisdom culture real.
<--break-->
No business or government elite, or inevitable trend of history, is going to do it to us, because this social change will need to be a conscious participation in making history ourselves. So we’ll start by considering what practical wisdom is, and how you can tell that a new culture is already appearing.
<--break-->
This is a “citizens’ design process,” which means you learn how to do bottom-up participative social design processes, instead of the elite-controlled, top-down social and economic programs common to business and government.
<--break-->
We will see the common goals and visions of what we positively want to accomplish together, and common strategies for positive approaches to new movement and civil society initiatives, new businesses and new political action.
<--break-->
We will also learn insights and information about ‘what works’ as well as ‘what’s possible’ in the next decades. And we will grow as a community as we work on this together.
<--break-->
Working together, we will start to create useful and innovative design ideas for new ways to make our communities more sustainable, participative, and democratic—and more fun to live in, with a good way of life for our children and grandchildren.
<--break-->
Any and all areas of social and cultural life are up for discussion, in a very systematic way. What we will find in our process is that no one person can see something this big all alone; and so long as we remain alone, the looming crises of humanity are fearful and discouraging.
<--break-->
However, each of us has a piece of the Big Picture, and all of us together will be able to see the whole vision of a positive future.
<--break-->
It always feels like a great surprise, and very validating to find how easy our collective re-visioning really is. And it’s both personally deepening and enlivening, because of all the rewarding possibilities it opens up for taking actions together.
<--break-->
This is a great opportunity to start building something together for this community. We hope that you can attend.
