06:36 MDT, 07-06-06. Three months of morning practice with the Journey to Wild Divine biofeedback software prompt this report. I have been using a Monroe Hemi-Sync Metamusic CD in concert with J.W.D.(The Passage), for three weeks, with marked enhancement of my ability to achieve the physiological shifts central to the game. Today I used The Shaman's Heart, a meditative toned 72 minute composition. Another favored piece is Dreamseed, a 54 minute work featuring didgereedoo performance.
These products are engineered to enhance connectivity between brain hemispheres at selected brainwave frequency ranges, using binaural beat technology delivered through headphones. Several years of regular use have convinced me of their efficacy. See www.hemi-sync.com for more info.
I have been pre-loading with Adenergy, an ATP supplement,(www.adenergy.com), synergized by 200mg of caffeine and 500mg of potassium gluconate. Post-session nootropic support includes 4g of MSM, 1g acetyl-L-carnitine, 1g niacinamide, a B-50, 2g L-glutamine, 1oz Designer Whey in water, and 1 packet Emergen-C Lite, a mineral and ascorbate blend.
Typical J.W.D. sessions consist of an initial Heart-Rate-Variability exercise, such as the Glacier Horn, repeated for 10-15 minutes, then to the Tower of Awareness for Stone-Stacking, back to Glacier Horn, Archery for 15 minutes, Glacier Horn, Floating Balloons for 20-25 minutes, ending at Glacier Horn.
This training regimen has resulted in very marked enhancement of my capacity for affect-regulation, empathic social engagement, and access to intuitive insight. Overall physiological tone and reflex speed are also upgraded.
Particular benefit has been noted as HRV excercises have been extended.Positive affect persists for 24 hours, plus.
These investigations offer intriguing potential for personal transformation, as well as larger social ramifications. JED

Thanks for writing your note. I have been meditating for over 30 years. In the past 20 years or so I have been using technology with meditation. I have explored or tried everything I could find. In the hemi-sync field, I use the programs from Centerpointe Research found at www.centerpointe.com They call it holosync. In my experience Centerpointe has taken this technology much farther than any other source. The program has stages and increases in intensity as you progress. The whole program takes about 10 years or so. I have been using it for more than 6 years. Results in my experience are immediate and there system does not stop at the first results but continues. I also have Wild Divine. I like Healing Rhythms, the program after Journey. I feel they improved the system by what they learned from Journey. I have learned how incredibly powerful heart coherence is and how much power we have to improve it. There is a lot of information on www.heartmath.org

Thanks, John. I just ordered the demo CD from Centerpointe, and look forward to checking it out. I received an "emWave" HRV monitor from HeartMath for Christmas, and have been using in in daily practice, along with Hemi-Sync. Nice device, easy to use and well designed, with several levels of challenge. It records the cumulative time in coherence and ratio of time spent in low or high coherence. I'm up to level three of four. I load the CD's on my laptop and watch a visualization on Media Player while keeping the emWave in view propped below the screen. This combo is powerful. I've been watching the "Scope" visualization: a simple occilloscope display of the signal. It seems to synergise the audio to add a visual driver-linking senses adds depth and facilitates entrainment.
Monroe has a new line of "Shamanic" themed CD's I like, with drumming, digereedoo, etc. I favor the titles "The Dreaming Gate", "Medicine Journey", and "Vision Quest".
I support the practice by pre-loading with a nootropic cocktail of whey protein and amino acids like acetyl-L-carnitine, L-carnosine, L-glutamine, plus vinpocetine, B-50, niacinamide, Ester-C, and MSM. Green Tea Extract and Ginko are taken just prior to session.
I go to such lengths out of a sense of urgency, that I may not have years to get where I want to go. I feel the Eschaton approaching. JED

Monroe Resonant Tuning as Group Entrainment Modality:A Field Report Update

Jeffery DeCelles | 03.05.06 | 07:58 PM

The IONS group of Durango, CO has been engaged in a bi-weekly practice for over a year, incorporating the Monroe Institute's HemiSync technology broadcast over a short-range FM transmitter, allowing entrainment of a small group to a common HemiSync signal. We have been using Monroe's Resonant Tuning CD, a 30 minute program of choral chant, the "AUM" predominating. Underlying this, HemiSync binaural beat frequencies are embedded to induce hemispheric entrainment at resonances associated with meditative states. Participants freely vocalize in harmony with the program signal and each other.
