Approaching the Supramental Knowledge & the New World

Greetings Friends,
Some of you are familiar with my work with Patrizia Norelli-Bachelet (Thea) and the Supramental Yoga over the past seven years. For awhile, it seemed pretty lonely path considering that much of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother's followers have no interest in considering that there might be a Third Element in the Supramental Descent. But thankfully the path has gotten less lonely, and for the past two years Thea has been leading a group of dedicated students via the internet. The group gathered at Aeon Center of Cosmology in Southern India in August of 2005. On the Fall Equinox another group started, and we realized that the group's content and pace was not suitable for those just coming in contact with the work.
As a result, Thea requested the establishment of an on-line Preparatory Study Group, that would provide support and assistance for those who would like to approach the Supramental Knowledge/Yoga as presented in Thea's works. Dr. Patricia R. Heidt, Robert Wilkinson and myself have agreed to lead this group with Thea's support and guidance.
Robert, and the others in the group like to call it a Mystery School. I think of it more as an approach to Real Knowledge or to the ‘Real Idea' of which Sri Aurobindo wrote in "The Life Divine". For me it has been a process of De-Mystification, Untangling and Illuminating what is typically considered Occult or Esoteric in our modern era.
Thea wrote in The Gnostic Circle (first published in 1975): ‘Our Goal during this Age ... is to enlighten the masses and render them capable of seeing the Reality. We are faced with the task of eliminating the Ignorance, and this can be done only by first seeing properly.'
For those of you who haven't had any access to Thea's work and are curious about what she offers, ‘The Emerging Cosmos' (see: www.aeongroup.com/emercos.htm) is a good overview, and can be found online. I believe that is the text our group will start with, so it might be a good indicator of whether or not you have any connection to this work. Other reading material for the new group will be Thea's 'The Gnostic Circle' and 'The Magical Carousel', as well as selected texts by Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. We will also have access to some of Thea's current projects, articles and commentaries.
There will be $100.00 bi-annual fee for group members, to be donated towards Thea's work. If any of you decide to join the group, please contact Robert Wilkinson (robtw@sprynet.com) and he will officially invite you into the study group (he is the moderator).
