One Thought Peace Process

What if, for just one thought, the smallest increment, a thought, everyone felt peaceful at the same moment?

I have spent more than 30 years, meditating. During the past 30 years I have participated in countless seminars, classes, growth trainings, martial arts, buddhist teachings, field training (I am in the first group of certified field training facilitators), marketed over the internet all with a hunger to wake up. Lately, I started a What the Bleep do We Know meetup that is growing daily. I follow Gandhi's words, to be what I want the world to be, peaceful, joyful, loving, safe, abundant and fun.

On the morning of a meetup the thought came to me to have a time of peace. My first thought was to be with willing participants and let's meditate for 15 minutes. Since the average attention span in 6 to 10 seconds, clearly having a moment of peace for 15 minute was too long. I thought, how about 30 seconds. How about 10 seconds. How about 1 thought.

Anyone, anywhere has had, and can have a peaceful thought. It does not require mindful practice or training. Just 1 thought. What if at the same moment everyone was willing to have a peaceful thought? Would that synchronicity be so powerful it would become so. To my knowledge there has never been a moment when everyone had the same thought or at least not with a conscious, willing choice to have that thought. With one thought, everyone could be included. Just a thought I have, that just a thought could make it so.

I'd like to have the thought and share that moment with the world.

This topic reminds me of another person with a similar thought. There is a group called Fire The Grid which asks as many people as possible, all over the world, to pray/meditate TOGETHER on peace and healing at the same time, 11:11 Greenwich Mean Time on July 17, 2007. For further information on this program, visit their web site firethegrid.com
