Dr. Fred Luskin on: Compassion, Gratitude and Responsibility
This video series is a dialogue between Dr. Fred Luskin, who holds a Ph.D. in Counseling and Health Psychology from Stanford University where he served as director of the Stanford Forgiveness Project, and Rev. Lyndon Harris, a chaplain at St. Paul’s Chapel in lower Manhattan, next to Ground Zero. They discuss the definition of forgiveness and gratitude.
Developing the skills of compassion and gratitude can make learning to forgive easier. According to Dr. Luskin, many people are not forgiving because they don’t want to accept the responsibility for failures in their own lives. He offers suggestions to increase compassion, gratitude and responsibility on the path to forgiveness.
