Well we all know who said that ... Einstein himself. Now although I have never read any in depth book on the man, it seems readily apparent that what Einstein must have been musing over - some time prior to spitting that comment off the tip of his tongue - must have been his recognition that the thoughts of God are in fact .... The Meta Mind of the Universe ... His Unified Field never declared.

Or as stated in in BRUCE H. LIPTON's paper ..... "Embracing The Immaterial Universe Toward a New Noetic Science" ...Physicists are being forced to admit that the universe is a "mental" construction. Pioneering physicist Sir James Jeans wrote: "The stream of knowledge is heading toward a nonmechanical reality; the universe begins to look more like a great thought than like a great machine. Mind no longer appears to be an accidental intruder into the realm of matter . . . we ought rather hail it as the creator and governor of the realm of matter" (R. C. Henry, "The Mental Universe" ; Nature 436: 29, 2005).

Both Bruce Lipton and Professor Richard C. Henry must be of the same mind ... as Albert. And we are All of the same Meta Mind as those willing to speak a new language ... a language of the Unified Field ... the Field of Unified Thought.

What a fantastic writer ... thank you for the passion and courage your have found well footed on the foundation of principles ... the principles of L.I.F.E.

And finally ... one more quote from Albert ...

"A human being is a part of a whole, called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."

Personally ... I rather believe that Einstein found the Unified Field ... and found it not to be a theory at all. :-)

Theories that are found to think are not called theories anymore. :-)

Hi Lawrence,

You've got some profound questions wafting up from down there at the bottom of the Grand Canyon. (In case other readers don't know, Lawrence works and lives within that magnificent place, sometimes referred to as the Grand Rabbit Hole ;-)

I have come to see this 'working hypothesis', Lawrence, that conscious of it or not, like fish are one with the ocean in which they live, we are one with "God" the ocean within which we live. Ergo "God's" thoughts are our thoughts and our thoughts are "God's."

C'est la vie! Isn't it grand!? Or am I having delusions of grandeur? You could say so, but actually I'm just a minute constituent of "God", not the infinite "It-She-He", so that gets me off the hook of delusion.

I think not.

What I am now very close to believing is that 'Our Minds are in fact infinite ... its our brains addiction to finite beliefs (cultural indoctrination) that prevent us from knowing and shouting ... "C'est la vie! Isn't it grand!?" :-)

There's a line from the movie, "No Country For Old Men", which goes:

"If the rule that you live by has brought you to this road (a lonely death) what good is the rule."

The same is true for those who live alone, in illusions of separateness...delusions of self-grandeur...and (believe it or not), ideas of self exaltation.

We do not think but rather, we receive, perceive, and conceive the thoughts that alreadfy exist, though there are still some who believe they are a free thinker with free will.
Big mistake!
And the headlines are shouting how much it's costing humanity, everyday.

There was a man that said, "you must lose what you want in life in order to find what you have."

Also the universe is multi-dementional, and quite possibly, plural.

Just as the single mind of man creates from a consistant passionate thought; so too can the cosmic mind.
In fact, we don't create!
We're merely an instrument receiving inspiration, knowledge, (hopefully) wisdom, and most importantly, an understanding of each other.
Which keeps us living, breathing, and becoming an optimal creature from the unlimited creator.

That my friends, was Jesus' Message.

I appreciate this post of Dr. Charles! However, I believe all paths begin in illusion, and are distorted by delusions. All are deadly, in that we all die in the end. There are some who put all their will (and egos) into a search for "truth"; some in a religious path, some in sciences, and others in forms of renunciation or self-sacrifice. The great illusion is believing we do not have "it", and trying to find "it" somewhere and someway. A few get to the point of complete disillusionment, realizing they can never find or achieve what they have been after, and surrender the ego. Then the illusion is broken, and they are realized. This is the story of the Buddha, Gautama, as told by Hermann Hesse in "Sidhartha", the story in Pirsig's "Zen and the art of Motorcycle maintanance", the story of Meister Eckhardt, etc.

Here is a poem that came into my consciousness in the late 1970's.

The Quest

The saddle-weary knight surveyed the battle-littered ground.
Through grief-stained eyes and aching heart, defeat was all he found.
Spring flowers, crushed by armored feet, lay broken in the mud
where bodies, wet by crying rain had given up their blood.

A twisting trail of broken dreams had led him to this crest
where high-flung hopes and noble aims were finally laid to rest.
Ideals of Love and chivalry lay stained about his feet
the goal of higher, godlike man had fallen in defeat
beneath the swords of greed and hate, betrayed by Ego's pride
and Eden's gate still bolted stood, the Kingdom locked inside.

His youth was running down his face, at race with rain and tears;
his spirit sagged beneath the weight of fifty heavy years.
He let his tired horse go free, relieved of armor's weight
and climbed the hill where he could see the castle, and its fate.

There lay his boyhood vision, a blackened, lifeless shell-
his golden dream of Camelot laid waste by flames from Hell.
At last he found the King he'd sought- cut down without a fight.
He'd died a frightened old man's death, unlike a valiant knight.

The clouds of disillusionment swept in about his brain,
he screamed in anguished anger against the mindless rain
and tore away the sacred cross embroidered on his vest,
then trampled it into the mud that smothered out his quest.

From deep inside, he vomited all anger, fears, and strife,
surrendered to the Dark Unknown his name, his god, his life.

Then, as the sun broke through the mists and touched his sleeping face,
he wakened to a magic world of love, and peace, and grace.
He looked across the battlefield that still held death and hate,
but saw it now through wider eyes that opened Eden's gate!
And in his weeping, soaring, joy we'll leave him and his tale;
by giving up all he held dear, he finally found the Grail.

What's On My Mind

Embracing The Immaterial Universe

Leading-edge research is challenging the fundamental assumptions that drive conventional science. The result: a new noetic science that is integrative and holistic.
