In this superb group dialog between Edgar Mitchell and others, (some of which I think were in “What the Bleep”) Edgar shares a number of very, very interesting questions. Questions that I believe are going to set the foundation for the perceptual shift needed to assist man to understand the underlying nature of energy, life, their origin and why we all exist. In part the questions he raises are:

1. Is the Universe Conscious of Itself?
2. Does the Universe perceive, experience and organize Itself?
3. Is our Universe a learning Universe.
4. What is the model that defines the nature of the Universe?
(Capitalizations are intentional)

Taking his set of questions one step farther we might also wish to ponder the following set of questions:

1. Is energy consciousness of itself?
2. Is energy conscious of the zero point … non-locality … from which it emerged?
3. Is energy conscious of the EM resonant attractive fields they create?
4. Does energy learn and adapt to the contextual fields that they are made subject to?
5. Does energy exhibit all elements and attributes essential for what we currently define as “life?”
6. What is the actual model that defines the nature of all Energy?

And finally, if there is a Central Operating Model that describes how the Universal Consciousness works:

1. Is that the same operating system (Model) that creates the mind-brain linkages of man’s consciousness?
2. Is there a Meta Operating Model of the Universal Mind that all energy and life forms have replicated?

For those interested in the above questions and perhaps discovering who is interested in the answers, you may wish to download Edgar Mitchell’s talk from this site… and then ask the IONS folks to post the balance of audio presentation. I was personally excited at first however then became disappointed when I found out that the entire session was not available for my listening pleasure.

IONS --- Please try to locate and then post the remaining session and then - if you would - let us know when it is ready for us to listen to “The Rest of The Story”. And thank you for this amazing site.

Hi Lawrence,

Again, you're posing some great questions. For possible, even probable, useful responses I suggest you read, if you haven't already done so, Ervin Laszlo's insightful book titled Science and The Akashic Field -- An Integral Theory of Everything. I am on my fourth reading and gleaning even more useful insights from it.

Best,

Bob Johnston

Bob,

Thanks again, I have just finished Jan Phillip's book "The Art of Original Thinking". You remember, she was on one of our teleconferences three or four weeks ago. A nice read, lots of ideas and a wonderful list of who is making a difference in the corporate world today.

After reading her inspiring piece of work, I have self declared to read a book my wife ordered on line for me with the word "Matrix" in the title. Then after that one and probably the one you just recommended ... I have got to go back and edit my white paper "The Science of Mind" ... or ... The Matrix of the Meta Mind" pr Understanding how the Universe Thinks ... or ... The Meta Matrix of the Universal Mind...

Its no wonder I still haven't finished it yet ... heck I cant even decide on the darn title. Anyway, the paper will pose a model on how all forms of life think, self motivate, and respond to their environment ... including the universe. When I listened to Edgar Mitchell's piece the other night on our site and heard him question if the Universe thinks ... well that's it. If he can ask questions about the subject ... little me can surely throw out a theory for others to bat arround the court . :-) And yes, I am one that strongly believes that every thing that exists thinks at some level... even the 3,000 foot red cliff sand stone rocks in this Grand Canyon.

Thanks again Bob.

P.S.

"An Integral Theory of Everything" sounds like one of the books written by Ken Wilbur. :-)

Bob ...

I just stopped by to let you know that I finished Greg Braden's book "The Divine Matrix" (an incredible collection of current findings from numerous university labs, etc.) that pretty well spells out the direction we are now headed in the future generation's on deciding the difference - if any - between God --- Life ---- and Intelligent Energy.

And now I am 50% of the way through the book you advised me to get, Ervin Laszlo's "Science and he Akashic Field". Wow! Now here is a man that not only can write, not only quotes and explains everything he says ... he brilliantly has led me out of a lot of corners of confusion.

Last week I sent an email to Greg Braden to find out if he is willing to review my draft "gray" paper :-) [[its a little unpolished and gritty to be called a "white paper"]] for logic, clarification and possible amplification to his next book. His hypothesis very carefully clarifies what the matrix is and then backs up his arguments with solid scientific findings, however, he does not define exactly the code or Operating System (the language of in-form-ation) that makes it all work.

I am sure I am going to see if I can also get Laszlo to critically review my perception of the actual model by which the Akashic Field (aka: zero-Point Field (ZPF), The Infinite Void, Space Filled Ether, Quantum indeterminate Vacuum, Collective Consciousness, The Hopi Tribe's Grandmother Spider's Web, etc)communicates with (to and from) other time-space energy fields.

Although I really liked "The Divine Matrix", the latter one you suggested is extremely focused, logical, insightful and potently convincing. Edgar Mitchell's question "Does the universe perceive?" - as has been suggested by others before ... now seems to be a forgone conclusion. Now that I have graduated my "man made" God to a higher plane ... perhaps that is the shift that will inspire a new understanding within me.

Thank you once again Bob!

P.S.
If anyone is wondering where cosmologists and quantum physicists are now headed, you may wish to pick up either one or both of these seminal pieces of work. Although similar in direction, each complement the other and neither so far have duplicated the exact same approach or laboratory findings. Together they are a fabulous read. I nearly used up my yellow marker and wrote in nearly all the margins in both. I could not put them down. Eternal addiction is seeking to understand ... who am I ... from whence was I evolved ... and where do I get to go next? :-)
