" The Art of Compassion "
Compassion can be defined as having sympathetic feelings for another person which are designed to alleviate long term suffering through mercy, leniency and softness so that one can be restored through Grace.
Symbolically, I see the following within the word itself --- "compass, pass, passion and ion." A compass is a guiding tool that allows someone like an explorer to not lose track of their direction. It uses magnets within to draw a magnetic needle in line with the magnetic veins in the earth. Dowsers use certain types of tree branches ( for their flexibilty and sensitivity ), alloy rods ( copper, copper and silver ) and their own electro-magnetic aura to connect with the same energy veins within the surface of the earth. The compass helps a person track his/her way home.
The word "pass" can mean a way toward an object or alignment, as well as, a medium of transference. "Passion" represents emotions, love or enthusiasm directed toward a specific interest. Last, the word "ion" is a positively charged partical acording to the science of physics. So, we might say that the word "compassion" allows one to lend guidance to another person with positively charged sympathetic feelings that help person to alleviate any long term suffering with Mercy and Grace.
Throughout life it has been quite a learning experience to develop better keys to understanding how to be more compassionate with ourselves and our lives. Often bridges between loved ones and friends have been nearly destroyed by unabridled anger, betrayal, painful rumors, hatred and even calloused truth.
The ability to sever ties gently is discovered through the art of compassion, and yet, we have to learn what that really entails. We shouldn't and can't give up. We should develop more patience which is calm endurance as we gain inner strength and courage. We develop the capacity to issue and receive unconditional love. Our faith and sincerity coupled with perseverance soon leads directly into the seat of compassion.
Through the art of living we must allow ourselves to pass on certain experiences that don't serve our higher spiritual natures and heart. As we develop stronger and nore sure-fire ways to come home to the reality of our truer selves, we learn by demonstrative acts of faith.
We are tempered by trust and raised by unconditional love. There is a direct desire to become purely charged by the principles and boundless power of unconditional love, integrity and innocence. Sometimes we bring forth the innocence of the "Sacred Child" within all of us and as an adult we only need to embrace the pure spiritual part of ourselves. That is known as the " I AM PRESENCE" and the full expression of CHRIST CONSCIOUSNESS.
Therefore, we can encompass our lives with healing powers that electrify our own lives, magnetize our own hearts and minds so that we ultimately receive the "BLESSINGS of DIVINE GRACE" through the art of compassion.
