Whether they be more or less spontaneous and inspirational or more thoughtfully formulated intentions, I have experienced them as being of at least five types: personal transformation and development, preventive maintenance, creative, innovative and problem solving. What about you?

o Personal Transformation and Development Intentions

Any intention you feel you want or need to help you achieve your vision of ecosystem, social and /or personal consciousness, health, wisdom, competence and/or quantitative/qualitative wealth.

o Preventive Maintenance Intentions

Usually involve "treadmill-like" routine, repetitive, mechanical tasks -- any of those tasks which if they are done well tend to go unnoticed. But if not done well, all hell may break loose.

o Creative Intentions

In contrast to innovative intentions, which involve more simply a modification of something already in existence, creative intentions involve the invention of something new. They may involve anything which isn't absolutely required for integral health and/or survival, but if created would be healthfully beneficial to one's self, family, organization, society and ecosystem.

o Innovative Intentions

In contrast to creative intentions, which involve the invention of something new, innovative intentions involve the modification and adaptation of something already in existence. They may involve anything which isn't absolutely required for integral health and/or survival, but if innovated would be healthfully beneficial to oneself, family, organization, society and ecosystem.

o Problem Solving Intentions

May involve any kind of challenge, dilemma or enigma which requires solving if you or your family, organization, society and ecosystem are to survive.

*The terms vision, mission, objective, goal, purpose and the like may be substituted as you choose for the word 'intention'.

Note these five options were adapted from my Integral Leader-Manager Process Workbook used in nearly one thousand five-day workshops by the same title since 1968.
