Elisabeth Fischer Targ, M.D. (1961 - 2002) was a psychiatrist and the daughter of scientist Russell Targ. In this interview she discusses intentionally based healing and sites a few studies, including her own, which found prayer to result in significantly better health and lower morbidity for AIDS patients. She describes the importance of empathetic communication between doctor and patient for healing to occur and the need for more research in this area.
