Spirituality and War

I agree that love and understanding is the only way, but to have that we need consciousness and the ability to be present. The only thing standing in our way is our limiting beliefs which is nothing more than our tendency to "pretend we know something unknowable." To even pretend that we can come up with the remedies and solutions to problems from the same level of awareness that created the problems has been our biggest obstacle so far.

It seems to me that we need to take a deep look into all the organizations (religious & political) that we have built from a defensive ego point of view. It's as though everything we have done over the past few thousand years has been in a defensive mode.
