What If Reincarnation is Real?
In the February issue of iShift, I wrote a brief introduction to a new scientific approach to possible validation of the reincarnation hypothesis. Four years of intensive research, after a long-term interest in possible past-lives, I discovered that a large number of cases had unwittingly revealed the "different parts of the elephant."
The most important of those pioneers was the well-known Ian Stevenson, his colleagues, and several others taking innovative approaches to identification of evidence that points to individuals' connections with previous lifetimes. When I did a meta-analysis of a variety of cases, it revealed a multifaceted model of what appears to be the legacy that each of us seems to have inherited from the past
The present possible reincarnations of well known historical figures such as Thomas Jefferson, James and Dolley Madison, Paul and Mette Gauguin, Marilyn Monroe, Lucy Payne Todd Washington, Samuel Johnson, Confederate General John Gordon, and several other very real personalities clearly demonstrate the holistic nature of what we call reincarnation.
This model encompasses one's genotype, cognitive profile, emotional stance, interpersonal modes of behavior, and creative vocational and avocational interests. In other words, if reincarnation is real, it involves the whole personality and key physical traits.
My book The Soul Genome: Science and Reincarnation and The Reincarnation Experiment (described at http://www.reincarnationexperiment.org) describes this research and invites communications from individuals who wish to apply this scientific method their own past-life explorations.
My goal is to develop a public data base of robust, empirically-based cases that will help animate a widespread scientific interest in testing and evaluating various reincarnation hypotheses.
