Gaia's Dreams is an IONS web-based experiment based on Carl Jung's concept of the collective unconscious. It is designed to gather and analyze dream quality and content from many people, and to automatically provide graphical reports on emerging trends based on aspects of those dreams. Eventually this site may also perform daily linguistic analyses of the content of the collective dreams. Ultimately the goal is to correlate collective dreams with world events, including natural and unnatural disasters, to see if collective dreams are predictive. Similar to the Global Consciousness Project (GCP, http://noosphere.princeton.edu), which is exploring the interaction between global consciousness of large-scale world events and aspects of the physical world, Gaia's Dreams is exploring interactions between the collective human *unconscious* and aspects of the physical world.

This experiment was partially motivated by reports of unusual dreams prior to 9/11 and the tsunami of December 2005, and by hundreds of historical cases of precognitive dreams. Data collected on this site will help us discern whether such dreams are truly precognitive.

Thanks for posting this for us to use. I do not have bad dreams ... up until one night ago. I went to this site and posted my dream results. It will be interesting to see if correlated patterns begin to emerge.

Thanks

Hello, Dean . . .

One of those who had a 9/11 dream two nights before the tragic event (but no pre-tsunami dream I remember), I've signed up to participate in your Gaia Dream experiment. I'm looking forward to learning more about my precognitive dreams which, since my first remembered one at age four, have naturally tended to constellate around each my personal, social, and ecosystem environments. I am also interested in finding out whether the collective unconscious can become, at least in part, my collective co-conscious.

Thank you for starting the Gaia's Dreams experiment,

Bob

P.S. Just as I was writing the above I had a 'parasensory newsflash' which para-audibly announced "Gospel of Mark". Not always pertinent to the topic on which I've been focusing, such newsflashes usually mean that some party some place is excited about the subject and I received it only because my 'parasensory radio' is constantly on. I have a passing interest in seeing if there will be news in a day or two in the regular media about same.

Hi!

For your possible interest, Highbeam Encylopedia Research
http://www.encyclopedia.com/doc/1E1.index.html has reported the following: INDEX "Author not available, MARK, GOSPEL ACCORDING TO, The Columbia Encyclopedia, Sixth Edition 2008, Columbia University Press."

While neither Highbeam nor Columbia Press may have been the originator of the newsflash I received, someone in their communications network, such as a public relations agency, may have.

What are your feelings and thoughts?

Have a healthful and joyful day!

Bob
