We have all heard the rhetoric, the great orations and the rattles coming from the political planks...enough of that! We have real problems. Let’s stick with the real issues! You might be asking yourself what are the real issues...? Tough question! A key criterion to decipher the real important ones from the rhetoric is which ones affect every American...no exceptions! Wouldn’t this define our mutual, key interests? What are they? Let’s look.

Everybody shares the U.S. Government debt. No exceptions. We are the ones who will pay this off. It looms as our collective loan. Now, consider, we are trying to elect a President who will arrive with a tremendous gift...three trillion dollars of debt and still borrowing four billion dollars a day. Ladies and gentlemen, this is a problem. Consider it a species problem because if you are alive and a citizen, then this is a fundamental part of your existence here...just like mine.

Most of us are not world travelers that spend time with foreign leaders. So what do they think about us? Over the years the United States has created our image on our behalf...that is, what these people think about Americans. Believe it or not, they see us as conquerors just like the British, Spanish and French conquests of the past. Here’s how past empires did it. When past conquerors needed certain assets they encroached and exploited the vital resources deemed critical to their national interests. When they ran into resistance, they then framed their exploitation policies around their militaries, again under national interests…and there’s more.

The arrogance of these past empires also forced their government structures onto their brethren countries...because theirs was best, of course. Does any of this sound familiar? Sounds a bit like what we have been doing...doesn’t it? Ladies and gentlemen, this is an issue. This is how the world is viewing us all. Well, not mine...my image isn’t the one being reflected. Is yours? If not, then this is a key issue, don’t you think?

Money! This is something we are all clearly attuned to. Okay, who has it? Well, actually...our government. We gave it to them. So, what are they doing with it? Let’s take a look.

The 2008 budget was about 2.3 trillion dollars. 1.3 trillion of this is absorbed by our national security. If you don’t believe it, then Google it. It is available online. We are funding everything from the CIA and NSA to every branch of military service. Oh yea, don’t forget to add in all the military technologies we are funding to go along with all this protection. This is us, ya’ll, showing the world how afraid we are and need so much protection. Hmmm, this isn’t my image that is being projected...yours?

Ladies and gentlemen, we only spent 450 billion dollars on food last year. Yes, the entire country! Let’s vote...anybody not opting for reallocating our dollars from protection (since we are all so scared) to feeding us all? This is actually our decision, isn’t it? If you are alive, live here and eat then this includes you...again, no exceptions! Who are we anyway...this is defining us!

Okay candidates listen up! We just gave you some issues we would like to know your answers to. This will tell us who you are and if we really want you representing us or not. You all talk about change...right? Try these changes on for size...we just tee’d them up for you. That is why we are putting one of you up there. Are you listening? Here is a final message from us.

We are generating the wealth in this country and we don’t like what you are doing with it. If this were a company then most of you would be fired. You branded our company with a label that nobody likes (the conqueror) and then you spend our wealth on engines to manipulate the world’s assets covertly and even larger engines to fight and kill people...and all because you think we are so scared we need this protection. Do any of you candidates really believe this is how we desire you spend our “company” money? If so, think again, it isn’t! Ladies and gentlemen, these are the bare essentials of us, stripped back, naked and who we actually are. These are issues used to elect a leader.

...and a message to the media

“We don’t care about flag pins on a lapel...pay attention, you live and eat here too! Wake up!”

Jim, what you posted is probably true, but I don't find it relevant.

Outrageous statement? Not in my paradigm. Empire, as socio-political form, is a meme-weed that keeps coming back, 'cause it's implicate in what Eisler called "Dominator" culture, and that's what most of the humans have settled for, most of the last five millenia.

I say all that monetary malfeasance is irrelevant, because if the human crew can't see though this shell game, and withdraw belief in nation-states, national economies, currencies, and hierarchical social structures generally, then the rump-reaming will go on 'till the whole house of cards comes down.

I don't accept responsibility for the national debt, just mine, and that comes to zero dollars. A dollar is, per Bernard Lietaer, a "fiat currency", in other words, made up, unanchored, virtual. If the U.S. Treasury defaulted, went bankrupt, rolled over, what would happen? Would the Chinese, and other holders of U.S. debt come to foreclose on the continent? Might be some justice there, since our Euro-trash ancestors stole it from the previous occupants anyway. Easy come, easy go, eh?

Tell me, James, why I should honor dishonorable debts incurred by deluded people far away? For Flag, and Country? Those were bought out in the early twentieth century, far as I can tell, and the old Dominator game got fully implemented again. Plutocracy, oligarchy, whatever term you like, the outlines can be discerned, the outcomes predicted.

I've been reading Hardt and Negri's "Multitude", and it clicks.
Some egalitarian form of sociopolitical organization could emerge, if the Imperial Fanatics don't poison-pill the planet rather than give it up. Cooperative systems do emerge in Nature, per Sahtouris, Margulis, et al, and I have great hope that H. Sapiens will survive to explore these possibilities, IF the toxic ideologies can be exposed and dumped.

Long shot, but, that's the Hero's Quest, eh?
