Glaciologist and Scientific American author Robin E. Bell reports, "A giant floating ice shelf off the Antarctic Peninsula marks the end of a great flow of ice. The flow begins with snowfall in the continental interior, which compacts into ice and slowly makes its way to the edge of the continent and into the ocean. As climate change accelerates the breakup of ice shelves, it can speed the movement of the "upstream" ice across the land and into the sea.

"Abundant liquid water newly discovered underneath the world's great ice sheets could intensify the destablilizing effects of global warming on the sheets. Then, even without melting, the sheets may slide into the sea and raise sea level catastrophically."

Hi Bob,

Did you notice in the forums box (to the left on this page) We added a new forum titled "Community News"

You can have all of your wonderful posts appear in that forum (I put one of your posts in there already and tried to send you an email about it but the email address we have on SIA bounced back)

Simply click the "edit" tab above your post and when you see the submission form go to the drop-down menu "Forums" (just above the luminary drop-down menu) and select Community News!

Your listing will still appear in chronological order on the main Share page, but others will be able to find all of your great Community Group suggestions more easily.

peace,
Angela

Hi Angela ~ Sometimes I'm not as observant as I would like. I didn't see your innovation until you pointed it out. Thank you. Warm regards, Bob

We just created the new Forum this week! And since you have so many wonderful posts that are of interest to the Community, I wanted to make sure you knew about it!

You can put any of your already created posts into that Forum at anytime.

Thanks for all of your wonderful contributions to the Shift in Action community!

peace,
Angela

Thank you, Angela, for your kind words. Actually, I am most humbled and grateful for SIA and the forum it gives me for sharing materials I originally created and developed since 1966 for my intensive experiential transformational workshops for corporate and healthcare clients and MBA courses during the days when I 'worked' for a living. Because of the wide variety of types and sizes of graphics my materials -- some of them four-dimensional -- don't lend themselves easily and inexpensively to book form. So until SIA came along it seemed the only answer was to create my own site as a way of sharing them. SIA is so much better because the site attracts blogs and shares from so a wide diversity of contributors so that my posts receive even wider exposure than if the site were mine alone.

Warm regards,

Bob
