In this segment, Riane Eisler gives a brief history of the domination system from the middle ages through the women's movement. She compares the current practices of the Taliban to the Crusades and describes the progression of human rights awareness as a spiral with dips. To lessen the dips, we must increase our awareness. Children learn to respect human rights in the home or they accept human rights violations as normal. Riane encourages us to recognize our unconscious biases; change the language of care-giving policies from being defined as socialism and going beyond capitalism to a new partnership model.
