I'm sorry I had to delete my post. I put my email address near the bottom. Suddenly, I realized a search engine might have it. Being a fairly private person, I didn't want the whole world to have access to the things I had written. The engine did grab it.

Thank you to those who have encouraged me. No, Charles, I wasn't aiming at you, and I wish others could read the thoughful piece you wrote. Everything got deleted when I deleted the main post.

I believe the most important part of my post was this:
I do believe that thoughts are things, but they are the thoughts of our entangled minds. People get the idea that every aspect of one's own life can be controlled by thinking the right thing. If you think your own thoughts give you complete control of your life, I feel you are mistaken. That's not to dispute the idea that a bad attitude, or continual negativity won't impact your life in a bad way. Also, a positive attitude will most likely impact your life in a good way. Still, there are a whole lot of people thinking all kinds of things out there. We are a group, and as a group we cocreate things...great...or not so great along with the Creator.

My husband is an optimist who does not believe in worry and does not worry much. He is not totally happy at the moment due to our disappointing circumstances. If his thoughts were things, we would live in a land of enchantment all the time. He's a great guy.

Barbara,

The brightest light can attract the darkest demons. Keep on shining. The illusion of dischord is temporary. In the ever changing sea of our lives, the beauty of the creator shines through. I'd say your husband is one example.

Between the flower and its husk, which manifestation has more power?

The one with the life in it.

The presence is the power, not the absence. Look for the presence in small but glorious things.

I remember when we were on food stamps when I was a teenager, I lived with my single Mother. I thought we were poor. I later realized we were poor in things, but rich in each other. That's where real beauty is - between people, if they can see past the things, and the burdens of life.

Peace, beauty and joy to you sister,

Jon

A good friend recently commented to me that a true friend is one who tells you when you need to change your tactics. Here goes, Last night after reading your post and sending you an email I read something from the Dali Lama in Ethics for the new Millennum. Even though the copyright is 1999, his wisdom still applies. Page 139 reads, "...the time of greatest gain in terms of wisdom and inner strength is often that of greatest difficulty."

I find that the science behind many spiritual practices is the results obtained. In most cases the results vary from person to person because people don't usually obtain the same wisdom from the same action. Therefore, it is easy for someone to debunk a practice as unpredictable.

I was blessed with a particularly acute sense of other people's feelings. Some may call that empathy. There was a time when it was a curse because I didn't understand what was happening to me and I tried to help too much. That got me into trouble until I realized that it wasn't my pain or concern. It belonged to other people.

Since then I've gained the wisdom to know that everyone has to find their own answers. Later I found that everyone HAS their own answers and gradually discovered how to help people find those answers without telling them how to feel. I see those answers as wisdom. So (obviously) does the Dalai Lama.

Try the tool I offer and see if you find relief. I don't think you're looking for any one to give you the answers. Is sounds like you're too wise to do that. You're looking for a personal shift where YOU find the answers. Even though it's not necessary if you keep the process simple, I'd be glad to work with you over the phone or instant message. There is no charge except your desire to find more of you. The blog is below. My email address is just a click of reply to the one I sent you. I hope this helps.

Regards,
