Dear Pamir,

Your virtual business card is great! I followed many of the links and found the meaning of your name very interesting. What I like about the card is that it gives a much broader view of your personality and the things that are meaningful to you. I won’t say a whole person view because I don’t think that someone can be summed up in just a few lines.

I am interested in what you say about Reiki being more than a healing modality. You see I have gone through some very serious health problems in the past and Reiki has been performed for me, both directly and distance. In either case there were remarkable results. I tend to lean toward Eastern philosophy; Zen, the Tao and Hindu. I find that there is a common thread that runs through them that resonates with me. I am under the impression that Reiki falls somewhere within those traditions.

As an aside I am a graphic designer, now semi-retired, but the virtual business card is new to me. Are you aware of the programming requirements?

Russ

Hi Russ,

Card: Yes, it's a small glimpse but useful I think. Not sure what you mean by programming requirements. I think that it would not be possible to create only graphically because it uses Web 2.0 elements such as feeds. Anyone can get their own however, just click the retaggr name on the bottom left.

Reiki: Reiki is a wisdom tradition. It's perennial so yes it fits right in there with the teachings you listed. Usui Sensei (founder of the teachings) was versed in Buddhism, Shinto & Martial arts.

The healing aspect is very, very valid & effective. It's just not Reiki's only aspect as commonly understood & promoted.

To me the greatest features of Reiki are that it's nondogmatic, highly adaptable, completely portable, a personal HMO, and a path of enlightenment.
