Please share what shift means

Today I made a dismal attempt to say that I don't really know what the shift looks like, how it is defined and how we will get there. I am interested to know your insights because within myself I can see nothing concrete.

Whatever happens serves us on your journey to remembering who we truly are...sometimes that looks sunshiney, sometimes not.

I believe the curriculum for our enlightenment is our LIFE, so whatever is happening, serves our soul's evolution. The time of this great shift has been predicted by many ancient civilizations. But none of that really matters to me, only in so much as that there is some kind of "historial evidence." I desire to see a difference on the outside, and I know that is only possible when I feel a difference on my inside. I love how vulnerable you are and asking REAL questions.

Yes, we are all the shift. Being more divine means shifting whatever corner of the world we inhabit. Michelle

Living Deeply

Russ, if you have not yet done so, please read and do the exercises in the IONS book 'Living Deeply'. It describes all of the steps and missteps I've taken to get wherever in the heck I'm at now, along with some of which I've not yet (maybe never will) taken.

Shiftless?

I can only provide pointers to elements of where I'm at today, knowing that tomorrow's awakening may well make today's statement no nore descriptive than the blind men describing and deciding what an elephant is ...

I have become comfortable holding two or more mutually exclusive concepts, simultaneously, with equanimity.
I know in my mind's eye how to get to the 5th dimension: Just go out from a sphere at a funny angle, and make a 90 degree turn.
Depending upon the level of safety I feel for the shell I'm in, out of body is simple. And it can penetrate the subatomic, the 'normal' scale, and the Kosmic with equal facility (all beautiful)
I've learned how to do lucid dreaming, at will.
I'm familiar with every cell in my body, and we work together to maintain health (as long as I don't allow myself to get attached to external goings-on).
I'm in the process of re-remembering how to usse the 'healing hands' with which I was gifted at birth.

That's all I can think of at the moment. I do not try to explore 'why?', only 'how do I use it?' and 'is it ethical to use it?'.

You have opened potentials for some who may not have known the simplicity of what you have described. At the very least, you have gotten him or her thinking in a different direction or one step further.

Now that's SHIFT in action! The more we share our practical successes sharing the "powers" that we have, the more real those "powers" become to others and they are nurtured (both the powers and the people who discover them). :)

You are THE SHIFT

Hey Russ,

Nice posting. Keep it up. You're making us all think outside the lines of the pages of our minds.

Here's how I see it. First you shift and your Worldview changes. You openly share that Worldview and you meet others like you who share with you. As a result, your Worldview enlarges as does your wisdom. Sometimes there is recoil from what you share and you may feel physically and/or spiritually assaulted. As long as you can recover, you gain from the experience and your Worldview enlarges as does your wisdom. Gradually you learn who is ready to hear your Worldview and who is not. You continue to share with groups and individuals who are like-minded. Soon you figure out the best way to share your Worldview without causing the people who are not like-minded to feel threatened. You empathize and eventually understand what they are searching for. You introduce them to people and groups who have the same needs or who have satisfied those needs. Eventually you all realize that WE are all after the same thing—THE SHIFT—and the momentum of everyone's efforts makes it happen.

My viision of what the shift is

Hi Russ,

I think you will find that each of us have some degree of commonality with each other about what the shift is along with various degrees of uniqueness.

Quantum Evolutionary Leap

I posted this August 30, 2007. It seems to me an eternity ago as what I see now and could imagine then, only a year ago. What I hope to see and be a year from today I hope is something I now cannot even imagine. There is a sentence in this I want emphasize and that is by the nature of a quantum evolutionary leap we cannot know what that will be if we knew it would be a quantum evolutionary leap by merely a change. I like the concept leap better than shift but that is another story.

In March 2007, Susan and I spent a weekend in the Tampa/Clearwater area. During the weekend in Clearwater we spent a day with the Florida IONS group. A good part of the day focused on the Heart Field. We met and spent some time with Richard D. Hite who played Tibetan gongs and offered insights and wisdom. On Sunday evening we went to see Deepak Chopra speak. He spoke for about 3 hours. Deepak told a story about quantum evolution and what are called imaginal cells. He talked of a conversation he had with a biologist. The biologist talked about quantum evolutionary leaps. Rather than being rare, the biologist said we experience quantum evolutionary leaps everyday. An example is a caterpillar becoming a butterfly. The caterpillar has not become a different type of caterpillar but is an entirely new creature. What happened?

Deepak went on to explain that the caterpillar has cells called imaginal cells. These cells appear to have no purpose for the caterpillar. At some point for no reason we know, these imaginal cells becomes activated, not all at once but progressively. At first, the caterpillar’s cells see the imaginal cells as foreign like a virus or bacteria. The caterpillar’s immune system begins to attack these cells, unsuccessfully. More and more of these cells become activated and multiply. Similar cells come together. The body of the caterpillar begins to become a soup that the new cells use for growth. From this soup and this new activation emerges a new creature, a butterfly. The change from caterpillar to butterfly is a quantum evolutionary leap.

The imaginal cells lie dormant in the caterpillar until they are triggered. Another place imaginal cells are found is in the human heart. So far, the imaginal cells in the human heart have not been activated. There are theories that human’s imaginal cells will be activated at some point and humanity will make a quantum evolutionary leap.

We found that we were, had been and are deeply touched by this idea. The idea that we as humans have in us seeds of a new humanity is exciting beyond measure. Immediately questions start to form. What will we be? When will this evolutionary leap happen? Is it happening now? Will we be a part of this or is this to be in some future time? What activates the cells to evolve? Is there something we can do, feel or otherwise influence or assist the leap? Do we have any influence at all? Will the leap be exciting, scary, pleasant or painful? Have some people already become a new human? Will the new being be human?

At this point the doors had opened. We felt that if we had come to a point that we could at least imagine the possibility of humans making a quantum evolutionary leap, then we felt it had begun. We feel we are now in the quantum evolutionary process. By the very nature of this process we cannot know the outcome. As the first sentence of this work states we see what we know. What we will be we do not now know at the conscious level and in our present consciousness we cannot see. Does the seed know it is a tree? At some level it does know and so at some level we too know what we are becoming.

In exploring the concept of a quantum evolutionary leap, consciousness or intelligence seems to be at work. Much of what we sense we filter out. Our minds have no framework or current use for the intelligence and so it is filtered out. If our minds had a framework for this intelligence then it would be what we know and so be visible to us.

Our minds are taking in only a small fraction of what we even now know is going on. For example, we see the visible spectrum of electromagnetic radiation. This is a very narrow band in the field of electromagnetic radiation. We have instruments that can detect radiation well outside the field we see. We hear sounds within a narrow band. Many animals hear sounds we cannot hear. If we accept that our consciousness is also very limited it is possible that we have in us the seeds of consciousness far beyond even what we can imagine.

Everything that is being discussed falls within our current consciousness. Even the concept of a quantum evolutionary leap is still a concept with our current consciousness. The idea of evolution is a relatively new idea. Inherent in any concept of evolution is the idea or belief in linear time. This is time that moves in one direction. There is past, present and future. Our current idea of evolution is a change from past to future. Modern physics, however, does not state that time moves in one direction. Quantum physics describes universe(s) of infinite possibilities.

Along these lines of thought, we hold concepts of duality and spectrums. There is the idea of peace. The opposite of peace might be war. This is a spectrum. Inherent in the idea of peace is war. Many have longed for world peace and yet all over our world we have peace, war and much in between. Our sense is, as new beings, we will not be at peace, not be at war but will relate in ways we currently cannot even imagine. War and peace will seem as primitive to our new selves as the lives of early humans before humans discovered and learned to use fire. Could these early humans even imagine the world we live in today? Can we even imagine the worldview they held?

In many ways, we have lost a lot of consciousness. We often discover ancient knowledge and wisdom; much we have no current way to understand. Many cultures have been in touch with consciousness that we currently filter out. We try to use our current framework to understand wisdom received by humans in other states of being or consciousness. Only by asking, allowing and being in the consciousness of that wisdom will it make sense and so with arrogance much ancient wisdom is lost, disregarded, unnoticed or otherwise not given the value and respect it deserves.

So where does this leave us in our quantum evolutionary leap. Our feeling is we all have in us the seeds of a new being. We sense that consciousness and intelligence is at work or at play here. We sense that we may leap from a linear time, cause and effect consciousness into something we cannot even imagine. We feel everyone is feeling the pull at some level. We feel it and we choose to give in, to seek it out, to go with the intelligence enthusiastically and with wonder and excitement. Are we afraid sometimes? Yes. We acknowledge the fear and ask the intelligence to take over. Do we feel we can do this? No. This is not something for us to do. It is something happening. Can we make it easier? We feel we can, by surrendering to the intelligence, seeking out others that feel as we do, by trusting in divine intelligence and grace and allowing this grace into our hearts and souls. As we do this and as we sense the energy, very naturally synchronicities show up. What had appeared as miracles appear as natural laws at work that we previously did not understand.

More and more there is a sense of Oneness. A simple example of this came to me as I was thinking of bamboo. With running bamboo, there might be a clump of bamboo in one spot and 20 or 30 feet away another clump of bamboo. On the surface these are two separate clumps of plants. These plants however are connected by a root system and so is really one plant. More and more we feel our consciousness root system connecting us, and making us not separate beings but one interconnected humanity.

What is to come? We don’t know and really cannot from our current consciousness know. What can we do? We can open our hearts and minds to the possibility of a quantum evolutionary leap(s).

For us, getting out of our own way and welcoming divine intelligence or grace feels best for us at this time. The universe(s), uni verse or one verse, is a lot more mysterious than we can imagine. We invite you enthusiastically to join the ride. The tickets are free and you can ride in first class.
