Today when thinking about what Washington DC has done to this nation I had to pause and reflect on how things were occasionally handled in the olden days.

Then I reflected upon the ceremonial paths followed by the elders in Supai at the bottom of the Grand Canyon.

Lets light 2 pounds of tightly wrapped sage ... set it afire ... and smoke-em-out.

Hi Lawrence,
Sage does wonderful things. It got my bees to stay out of the house...they stay between the floors now. If someone could smudge the House of Representatives and the Senate, plus the White House, and Wall Street, something wonderful would happen. They wouldn't have to be smoked out. They would be purified. Unfortunately, the person carrying out the ceremony would probably end up in Guantanamo.
Best,
Barbara

There's an angle, here, Larry, Barb, I can feel it...
...Guerrilla Shamanism!

We don't blow shit up, we blow shit out! "OUT! GET OUT! All Unwholesome Agencies, Entities, and Energys, Leave This Place!"
(That's the exact incantation I used last weekend when powersmudging my place.)

Picture this story arc - Hero/Shaman drops out of ceiling vent, (played by Vlad Cardema?) and SWAT-Smudges the Hallowed Halls, night after night, confounding all attempts at interference. If confronted, he blasts aside opposition with Digereedoo sonic chi-fu. Hai!

(Next morning, janitor arrives to find halls littered with lobbyists, on backs, legs in air, roaches dealt the last deal.)

Sounds great except for the dead roach-like lobbyists. A bit of interest: My husband's cousin created the antimated and well known roach commercial. I typed the name of the bug spray, and realized a search engine might pick it up and took it out. Privacy on the internet is hard to come by.

I just got out of the sweat. It was the most difficult one I ever experienced. Whew! I don't allow myself to go out between rounds. Almost broke my rule today.

Deep work, Barbara. All sentient beings benefit from strong ceremony.
It's a rainy day in Durango, haven't left the apartment, no need. I sat on the porch and watched the rain and clouds sweep around Smelter Mountain, drinking good coffee, eating a chocolate powerbar. Bliss.
Earlier, yoga, chores, and surfing. Eating, lots of appetite, winter coming.
The leaves are falling, the cave is calling.

(The lobby-roaches can easily avoid termination by migration.)
