The Meaning of My Life

There's nothing wrong with searching for happiness, but I have on occasion used the word happiness in a way which makes it sound as if it were the very ultimate in human intention. I have discovered what gives me far greater comfort and confidence is consciously realizing my inherent Oneness with the timeless, all-pervading, infinite, 'oceanic presence' of our Mystery Source, and consequently, my basic interdependent oneness and empathy with every other entity, carnate and discarnate.

That realization has given rise within me the insight that I could have been born the soul you are with your soul development mission and you me with mine. I could have been born in the body that is yours and yours mine. I could have been born into the social milieu that is yours and you into mine. Those insights serve to inspire within me an even greater effort to empathize and understand rather than arbitrarily and naively judge you and your behavior.

It has become evident to me that our Source is consciously but transparently present within and around each of us, encouraging us through our night dreams and other life experiences to realize that our every perception, our every interpretation, and our every response to every situation comes down to making a choice for empathy-based health or for ill for oneself, every member of our human community, and our entire ecosystem.

With this realization I am content. I'm not ever alone in the cosmos. I belong. My life has real meaning!
